# Attentive integration

This guide applies only when selling pre-orders through Purple Dot's own checkout. Pre-orders sold through the Shopify checkout benefit from the same tracking as your regular sales.

If you have enabled Attentive tracking on the Integration settings page in the [Merchant Portal](https://www.purpledotprice.com/merchant-portal/integration), the Purple Dot checkout automatically sends certain events to TikTok via the [Events API](https://ads.tiktok.com/help/article/events-api).

### Steps to connect <a href="#steps-to-connect" id="steps-to-connect"></a>

1. Head to the **Settings** tab on the left-hand side of your [Merchant Portal](https://www.purpledotprice.com/merchant-portal/integration) dashboard.&#x20;
2. Click **Integrations**
3. Under **Attentive**, you can enter your Attentive Custom App API Key, Sign-up Source ID and Country.&#x20;
4. Hit **Save**.

#### **Sign-up Source ID** <a href="#sign-up-source-id" id="sign-up-source-id"></a>

To get the Sign-up Source ID you need to send an email like this to your Attentive account manager:

*Hi Attentive Team,*

*We use Purple Dot (*[*www.getpurpledot.com*](http://www.getpurpledot.com)*) to transact our customers when they purchase a pre-order. We would also like to collect SMS subscribers in the Purple Dot checkout.*

*We have created the Purple Dot custom app and provided Purple Dot with the API Key. Please can you provide them with a Sign-up Source ID?*
